Jenn and Reon - you’d better check this out before you’re tempted to post on anything deep and theological again. You might embarass us all!

I wonder if men really *want* women to interject into serious conversations self-depracating remarks about their intelligence, and off-topic comments about soft, furry kittens.

What say, guys?

Bryan, what hospital room are you in, I’ll send flowers. :D

JLove - Patriarchy just ain’t what it used to be. Gotta roll with the times I guess….

Lynn - Nah, no need to talk about kittens. And actually women do a fine job talking about theology. I’ve seen many use a flannelgraph to great effect…

Jon - After my last comment I may end up in the ICU. I don’t think they allow flowers in there. Thanks for the sentiment though!

Brian,
Is this your way of telling me that I should have kept my mouth shut during your Sunday School class last week? Is it?! I can take a hint, you know!

No need to wind up in ICU on my account, Brian.

If you read the thread from the link Corrie gave (which is the link I used, and I presume you also used), there are some serious remarks in that particular thread. Corrie went to a dinner where something like that actually happened to her hostess, and eating dinner was kind of strained after that, for all involved.

I enjoyed the video, but something happening like that IRL is not funny.

Reon - If you were to stop speaking your mind I’d be terribly disappointed. :)

Lynn - You’re absolutely right. It’s a little too easy to joke and forget that these are real issues which real people have to deal with on a daily basis. It just amazes me that any man would want a wife who couldn’t just be herself.
