Pirates Rock

Ever shouted “Rock Lobster!” just for the heck of it? Doesn’t matter, you’re gonna like this no matter what. Give it a look see :

This is the video from the new Veggie Tales movie. We might have to make an inaugural trip to the new theater in town to check it out. The kids discovered the video today and have been playing it virtually non-stop.

And for you B-52’s fans, here’s the original.

I insisted on family time for my daughter’s birthday. The Vegie Tales movie was a must. We loved it and the music rocked.

That was a great start to my day! I think I enjoyed the B52’s as much as the VT’s!!

At one point in the movie I could seriously feel the writer’s hand wanting so badly to add a Christian message…I actually got choked up at that point.

[...] It was a fun movie but the HT for finding the video online goes to Brian. [...]

Saw the movie today with the whole family. Overall, it was a good pick for our family. A8 and A6 are still easily frightened by most movies with any real bad guy, but Robert the Pirate was just enough for them. Only once did I have both of them sitting in my lap. Even S3 clapped and cheered when the good guys overcame and then again at the end of the movie. He kept announcing to the whole theater, “The pirates win! The pirates win!”

We didn’t realize that we had to wait until the credits to see/hear the Rock Monster song, though, and the kids kept asking when it was coming. Thankfully they weren’t disappointed! They sang along and danced to the whole thing and now I can’t seem to get that song out of my head…
