i think most of our worship draws us into this “thank you jesus” mentality then it’s over.

worship like prayer and fasting are a holy response to god…now if i could just practice that more.

Steve - I need all I can to keep the focus where it should be, which is off of me and on Jesus. Guys like Dan at Eucatastrophe help reorient my thinking in the way it needs to go.

Brian,

You sound a lot like my pastor. He is always talking how “the gospel is about what Christ has done…is doing…and will yet do.”

I do think this is a healthy perspective for it keeps the onus where it belongs instead of shifting it towards the self.
