I drove by this same gas station on my way home today and noticed that the price has jumped up to $3.54! Yikes!

Our family trip this year will include driving from the southeast to the western Colorado. I’ve estimated gas costs at $4 a gallon. *gulp* Still, with the fun of road-tripping and 6 people in our family, it is less expensive than flying.

With the holiday “week-end” beginning today, gas prices all over have jumped from just under $4 to considerably over $4. Most who have raised their prices have gone directly to $4.19 - with a promise that $4.29-4.39 is not far behind. All of this as we’re in Michigan. I guess the one good thing is that prices should look better when we get home to Tennessee next week.

The TN update is not much different, Mom. Gas prices jumped here today as well, but we’re still a little less than Michigan - $3.79/gal. I hear that we’re supposed to be at or above the $4 mark by Monday…

I realized this week that Hubby and I drive about 500 miles a week, for work and school. That doesn’t count errands or appointments or church or family gatherings. . . *sigh*
