Free downloads from Ken Myers

Posted on June 5, 2008 by Brian

A few months ago I mentioned that Ken Myers was speaking in Nashville as part of a Humanitas Forum lecture series. Myers, along with Jeremy Beer, were speaking on Jesus as More Than a Personal Savior. If you missed that but are interested in hearing the talks then good news for you! All the lectures from the weekend(along with a Q&A) are available for free. Just go here and download to your heart’s content.

And if you benefit from you hear, consider making a donation to the Humanitas Project and the work they are doing. (note : I receive nothing for my shameless plug)

Did those files work for you? It was strange to me that they’re zipped, but I got the first one and extracted it and tried to play it, which brought up a message about needing a missing audio codec in order to play it.

Yeah, it’s not really saving much space to zip them but that’s what they decided to do. Anyway, once I got the file unzipped I didn’t have any trouble playing the mp3.
I uploaded one here to our site. Try it if you like and see if you still have trouble.

Thanks Brian, it worked on my ibook. I guess the problem is a missing something codec in my Windows Media Player–whatever. So I listened to it in my ibook and enjoyed, thanks!

Listened again today (after putting Winamp back on my PC) and paid closer attention this time. This is wonderful. It was inspiring to me. I remember encountering this slant on things a few years ago and being profoundly changed by it–and encouraged by it. Coming as I do from a family of artist/writer/musician types, he’s talking my language. I gave up a lot when I became a Christian, and for many years I gave away too much of the farm, so to speak. Wish I had been exposed to these ideas earlier.
